What better way for Me n’ Wink to recover from our Shock An’ Awesea resulting from this most recent Presidential election than to run & romp thru the Wetlands & Creeks near our Domains? We thought the experience of fresh air & sunshine would clear out the cobwebs of sadness & frustration of knowing that we’ll have to wait another K9 Generation or 2 before pursing our goal of the K9 Franchise? For ourselves (altho yrs truly might not still be here on AnimalPlanet.com in another couple of K9 Generations) & for K9 Generations to come. From whenever we get it, the Franchise. & we will.
So when our folks suggested a Walkies, we were all for it. It was quite fortuitous in that our Walkies occurred yday, another relentlessly sunny, if somewhat chilly, day here in MyValley. It was just invigorating to walk, skip or run along the levee, above the reeds & Cat O’ 9 Tails. Above the little trickles of water trickling thru the Wetlands.
That Wink. He’s such a youngster. All energy & enthusiasm. He’s a H20 Dog. Loves to run & commune with residents of the wetland. He’s just fun to be with & who doesn’t need a little of that these days?
Myself, personally, I’m a wee bit older than Wink, but I held up my end of the Table. I like to walk on the Levee, sniff/investigating all the little interesting things that go on othe the Levee & in the Wetland. I like to watch the birds take off & land in the wide open spaces. & the hunting. I watched a Great Blue stalk a prey. He or she moved so slowly upon his/her prey, you almost couldn’t tell he/she was moving at all.
I achieved a personal best yday bc we walked 3 1/2 miles according to AuntieKris’s Fitbit). & I kept right up with those young sprouts. It wasn’t easy, under the circumstances. But I’m so glad to accomplish that 1 goal.
Now me n’ Wink, we both know that we need to get back to doing good things like:
picking up trash
helping the less fortunate especially with the holiday season coming up & all
keeping up with current events & keeping ourselves informed of current issues of the day
helping out family & friends
being sure our young family members are good, indiependent, involved & productive citizens
Me n’ Wink gotta lotta young family members to guide & assist.
We, here at Todo Chronicles, are so proud of our state, the Great State of CA in the outcome of the election. Our legislature has made & adopted a statement which says that this Series of Unfortunate Events will not stop us from adhering to our values or pursuing our goals & accomplishments, especially in the climate change area. But also others. Like new technologies that will help slow Climate Change. You. Go. California. All good ideas start in CA & drift eastward.
That is not, however, to take away from other states, like the Great State of NY that has made similar statements. The Gov. of NY has said, & we, here at Todo Chronicles, commend him & the great state he represents, that many minorities have been made to be fearful as a result of this election. He invites all those who are fearful to move to his state where there’s room for all. So maybe, if this optimistic sentiment emanates from both coasts of this nation, some of that will drift into the middle of the country. Dunno. We can hope. Cuz right now. K9s ain’t getting the franchise anytime soon.
