I think it was Global Climate Change acting in my Domain, changing my environment all around so’s I don’t even hardly recognize it. I mean here I’ve been, enjoying my nice pool, my main source of drinking water, altho I gotta say I like good fresh gutter water, runoff from the rains pounding MyValley presently. But that’s another story.
Anyway it was a nice mild winter, little rain to speak of. Altho what rain did fall back in Jan… you’da thought the drought was over, the dam filled & all was right on AnimalPlanet.com once again. Even tho lake levels only rose to about 30% of capacity at the time.
So 1 day my pool is full & as was said, all right on AnimalPlanet.com. The next my pool was empty, void of water. Where did it go???? Prolly sucked out by a thirsty environment. The next, all manner of workmen were down in my pool with loud machines & equipment & they left my pool looking like below. Those workmen, they didn’t come back. Just left a big ugly hole in MyYard. Said it needed to dry out good or some such thing.
Then it started raining again & MyPool is filling up with good ol’ rainwater, but I daren’t get down into that big deep hole to get to the water filling up my pool again. Maybe it’ll rain enough to refill my pool so I can get to the water supply.
Then while all this was going on, wind knocked down our Good Neighbor Fence. I don’t think it was caused by Squirrelous Misadventures. They’re kinda to small to cause the Fence to blow over. Our Good Neighbor who built the fence may not be in a position to fix it whenever the rain lets up long enough to work on the fence. Now I gotta watch over & guard both yards from Bad Guys. Awesome responsibilities continue even into my Golden Years. But I can handle it.
The Good News is that all this rain has caused lotsa pretty colored flowers to bloom in my Neighborhood. I just wish Global Climate Change would restore my pool to it’s original purpose, MyPersonalH20Source.
