SPARE THE AIR. SAVE THE DRIP

So the other day we hadda walkies over to The Pond to deliver our Nat Geo to the GrandSire Memorial Collection of Nat Geos they keep in the library there at The Pond. They like to keep the residents of The Pond well informed. They like our Nat Geos. We chit-chatted with Debi. She usedta take good care of GrandSire. We met some new residents. They petted me & it was cool.

We hadda ask Debi for the phone number of the P&R district that operates the parks in our neighborhood. Ya see, as we walkiesed past that park on our usual & ordinary path to The Pond, we hadda watch out for the water sprinklers that were spraying water all over the place. I could tell they’d been spraying water for a long long time cuz there were lotsa puddles to drink from. & while puddle water is some of my fave water, it’s not a good situation to be making puddles at the present time here in MyValley.

Ya know, we are experiencing an awful & worrisome drought here in MyValley, in My St8. In the whole & entire SW of the USofA, truth be told. Truth be told, it’s a result of Global Warming which is creating radical changes in weather patterns around the whole globe of AnimalPlanet.com. So we gotta be water-wise here in my St8, the Gr8 St8 of CA.

We gotta conserve water so we have it to grow crops & to drink. Cuz alla us carbonated based critters gotta drink water so it wouldn’t be good to run out cuz then where is everybody gonna go where there might be sufficient water? Cuz even humans haven’t figured out how to get offa this planet & go find a new home where there’s adequate air & water. I wonder if, when they do figure it out, are they gonna build an Ark like Noah & take lesser critters like dogs with them? But I digress.

So we obtained the correct phone number from Debi & placed a phone call to the correct P&R District. We hadda leave a message but they called us right back within a short & acceptable period of time. They were very pleasant & courteous & said the problem had been called in & maintenance crews were mobilizing as we spoke to repair the problem.

Today on our walkies past the park, the problem was solved. Sprinklers turned off. & puddles nearly dried up. That’s cuz we been have drying Delta Breezes which are certainly refreshing & welcome after calm 109 temps. But still, those very same Breezes dry out the landscape. Now we gotta worry about wild fires whipped up by those same Delta Breezes. I tell ya, it’s a kind of a tornado-like weather pattern, goin’ around in circles. OpalK9 OTJ
