GrandSire is a Veteran & a Trooper & all round good guy.  His Veteran Buddies from the Great War remain in contact, those left standing or sitting as the case may be.  They communicate electronically, digitally & by snail mail.  No moss growing btw the toes of these Vets.  They publish a Newsletter called Reveille which GrandSire looks forward to receiving & reading quarterly.

GrandSire received his Reveille yesterday.  It brings a smile to his face to read the currents haps of his old friends, comrades in arms & present day LDBFFs (Long Distance BFFs) which a lotta us have.  He was most interested in the article regarding the National D Day Museum in NOLA.  The article said:

BlackHawk Reveille:  Feb & March 2013
The National D Day Museum in NOLA celebrates the American spirit, the teamwork, optimism, courage & sacrifice of the men & women who won WWII & promotes the exploration & expression of these values for future generations.

The museum is a celebration of personal stories, preserves important materials for future research & scholarship, inspires future generations to learn life lessions – teamwork, value of democracy, unsung bravery – from the most complex military operation ever staged.

GrandSire liked that article todolly a lot.  Perhaps 1 day we might be fortunate enough to escort GrandSire to see the D Day Museum.

I know.  I know.  I’m just a dog.  It just seems to me that Americans have lost focus on some of the ideals that welded the Greatest Generation into a Band of Brothers (& Sisters) that preserved this great nation through Dark & Perilous Times & effected a positive outcome for the whole of  We seem to have lost focus on Teamwork, Bravery, Generosity, Scholarship, Sacrifice & Investment in our Future in favor of:
    I’m Right & you’re Evil
The 1 who dies with the most toys wins
Choose Up Sides & Point the Blame Finger @ Them
    I got mine, Frack U.

I know.  I know.  I’m just a dog.  I’m just sayin’ . . .  OpalK9OTJ
